Im VS-700R ist der anerkannte Roland Fantom VS Synthesizer integriert, der innerhalb von SONAR als Hardware VSTi geladen wird. Außerdem ist das VS-700R mit einem ARX Expansion Slot ausgestattet, womit es noch um eine spezielle Tonerzeugung für z.B. Drums, E-Pianos oder Brass erweitert werden kann.
