Designed to complement the VS2108, VS3208, VH3208 and Q210, the VS1115b is an active sub-woofer that extends the low frequency response of the monitoring system. The VS1115b offers 4 inputs/summing and 4 output sections that extract the low bass for the LCR channels, with the summing facility allowing the use of a single mono, or two stereo subs, if preferred. The 4th effects channel input has its own trim controls covering a different frequency selection and slope that is compatible with 5.1 ... requirements. There is also a balanced summed line level output for paralleling multiple sub-woofers and controls are provided for polarity reversal and phase adjustment.
The built-in amplifier provides over 400W continuous RMS power to the custom designed, external, radial chassis 380mm (15") unit. The amp can be rotated on its sub-baffle, allowing the cabinet to be mounted in either portrait or landscape format.
Applications include broadcast, mobile, editing, post production, project/home studios, nearfield monitoring and main monitoring in mid-sized rooms.
