FLIP DWARF combines the power of analog drum sounds and the flexibility of a modular system in a compact desktop enclosure. FLIP DWARF thus represents a unique combination of drums for CV-controllable on percussive sounds specialized modules and a six-CV / gate sequencer as a studio-and stage-drum machine dar. ... Thanks to its semi-modular approach FLIP DWARF is directly usable, even without any patch connections. The internal pre-wiring involves the allocation of the trigger Gatespuren on five of the six drum sounds as well as the decay of the hihat control. The other CV-tracks can be connected with patch cables with the desired functions of the individual drum sounds. About this CV inputs is also the control of parameters with external control signals, for instance by LFO, envelope or Theremin controller.
Another CV / gate Spurpaar the sequencer can be either for the control of any function of the drum sounds or can be used to control an analog synthesizer, such as KRAFT DWARF. The sequencer, the control voltage is a pure atmosphere of quantized it.
The Sequencer can store sixteen patterns, each with an A and a B part. By means of gate pulses, the pattern forwarded, start / stop and reset remotely and the sequencer with an external analog sequencer to be synchronized. Start / Stop and clock synchronization can be remote controlled via MIDI input, this must be placed no extra patch connection.
Instead of Sequenzerbetriebs FLIP can act as a DWARF MIDI-CV/Gate-Wandler six times. While two modes provide for the normal control of the drums or a simple CV / gate output of the sequences, can be converted in two further modes incoming MIDI data in CV / gate values. The drums are controlled within a range of two octaves on each with its own MIDI channel. A separate channel for controlling a synthesizer includes as many as five octaves. The sequencer is inactive in these modes.
The individual Drumsektionen are slightly modified versions of the MFB-beatboxes. The trigger inputs respond to different intensities, so the sounds can be controlled dynamically via drum pads, piezos or microphones. All drums have CV inputs for various parameters. Since the sequencer is controlled doses CV-generated tensions, in contrast to the module versions of the drums no attenuator present.
The bass drum is equipped with the powerful sound of the drum machine model MFB-503 or the module DRUM-04. With Attack, Tune, Decay, Pitch and Drive can be generated several kick sounds.
The snare is also based on the MFB-503 drum machine or the module DRUM-05. Snap, Decay, Tune and pitch here make for a varied sound.
When Tom, after the MFB-503 or DRUM-06 module, the pitch can be optionally combined with the panorama, to place the classic high-, mid-, low-toms in the stereo image.
Hihat and cymbal are from the MFB-522 drum machine or the DRUM-07 module and based on a mixture of six oscillators. Cymbal, Open and Closed hihat can be triggered separately. This decay of the cymbal and hihat on Open CV is controllable.
All drum sounds are output via the built-in mixer with adjustable panning in a stereo output. Alternatively, the sounds but can be tapped via the individual outputs.
- Semi-modular drum machine - fully analog circuitry - Kick, Snare and Tom (DRUM-04/-05/-06) - cymbal and hihat (DRUM-07) - 16-step sequencer with 16 A / B Pattern - 6 gate and CV-6 tracks - separate CV / Gate-track, for example, force dwarf - integrated MIDI / CV interface - an integrated mixer with panning
