Getting that "perfect" recording take is not easy at the best of times, but it can especially difficult when having to contend with troublesome acoustic environments. Treating problematic acoustic spaces prior to recording is often difficult, time consuming, and very expensive. The MIC THING is the solution: mobile, efficient, simple and affordable! ... The Mic Thing V2 is a portable multi-purpose acoustic treatment panel suitable for minimizing room artifacts and improving separation during microphone recording sessions. It's ideal for recording vocals, guitar, percussion, or for any other recording application that demands a controlled or temporary mixing environment.
New: The supplied "high frequency reflection grills" help counteract excessively dry sound. Super easy to install, the Mic Thing V2 has dedicated connection holes right on the front of each wing. We recommend you experiment with your Mic Thing V2 modifying the position of the Mic Thing V2's adjustable wings in addition to adding one or both of our perforated high-frequency reflection grills. There is no optimal position and no special solution, however the Mic Thing gives you plenty of scope to attain your desired result with ease.
New: The Mic Thing V2 features four independent screws for rotational alignment of the two side wings. This offers much greater stability and flexibility when adjusting the panel to any desired angle - no matter how acute - bomb-proof.
New: The Mic Thing V2 features a new improved rear panel bracing solution. Two sturdy low profile slide retainers allows the Mic Thing to be connected to mounting brackets by simply sliding the unit onto each corresponding bracket posts. This solution is perfect for quick assembly whilst maintaining rock-solid stability. Being able to lay the panel completely flat when extended to 180º also saves precious space in your studio when storing or for transportation!
New: Another highlight is our heavy-duty microphone stand known as the "Mic Stand". The large format sturdy spring loaded telescopic design makes the "Mic Stand" on of the best featured microphone stands available today. With a wide perimeter tripod base, the Mic Thing offers superior stability over other stands. It can comfortably handle up to three Mic Things and the heaviest of microphones with ease. The spring loaded telescopic tubes automatically pop-out on release making the Mic Stand super quick to setup and adjust. Angle and length of the boom can now be adjusted with only one screw! Simple.
