With her beauty and innovative design inspired the SG2000 even at its introduction in 1976 guitarists across the world. In the 30 years have passed since then much has changed - not just in the music scene. But one thing remains: the appreciation of high quality and fine craftsmanship.
2005 Yamaha surprised the scene with an exclusive new version of the SG2000 and SG1000 models. The guitars are produced in the "Yamaha Music Craft" - the legendary studio, built in the highly trained luthiers crafted Yamaha's top of the line acoustic guitars and custom shop instruments. The two SGs create their unique sounds from the use of high quality tone woods, combined with specially designed Alnico humbuckers and a top hardware. But that's not all. The use of the ingenious "Initial Response AccelerationTechnologie," a procedure which was developed originally by Yamaha for the refinement of the sound of acoustic violins, the SGs sound as if they had been recorded over the years - and better it gets.
